The Cardiff School District is in the top 10% in academic achievement of all California schools! Cardiff and Ada Harris are 10-10 schools and two of only five elementary schools in North County and two of 13 in SD county! 10-10 schools are special, because the first 10 relates to overall achievement. The first 10 means that a school is in the top 10% in academic achievement of all schools in the state. The second 10 is the similar schools ranking. This ranking compares schools with similar student populations. For example, schools are compared by percentages of students that are English as a second language learners, low socio-economically impacted, similar parent education levels, and many other factors. A 10 in similar school ranking means that, taking into account many student and family factors, a school is in the top 10 percent of all schools that have similar demographics.
Family-friendly Glen Park is a large, secluded grassy area, set below street level, along rolling, hilly terrain, just south of Cardiff Town Center. The lower portion of the park is flat and has a large children’s playground with sand lot, two tennis courts, basketball courts, and horseshoes.
